A Leaving Libra

One summer night there was a scale
A scale of stars balanced in the sky
And off from the distance approached two stars
Two stars just passing by
The stars were the sisters
The Twins Gemini

Intrigued by the mighty, quiet Libra
They halted their fancifuly walk
And in one voice but two beautiful souls
They began, quite giddy, ecstatic, to talk
But the star clusted scale was very shy
So he stood quiet, steadfast, as a rock

One sister pounced on the right hand balance
The left equaled out by the other star
Since they seemed so similar in all they did
That horizontal balance beam would not marr
Then one side it started to tip
But it did not tip all that far

You see, one of the stars began to blow
Cosmic space dust in the scales ear
But then to retaliate, the sister star
Drew the Libra in so near
Then to the blushing Libra
It all came clear

They weren't there for him truely
It was just a three person game
Even if he really was fancied
It wasn't the only reason they came
No no but upon the sisters
He couldn't place blame

For he now had two wandering stars
To look for on the darkest nights
Hopeing again he'd be thrust in the middle
Of another of their playful fights
Because now those two sisters are
Well, now they are his favorite sites
And his favorite & brightest lights
