Fog
The fog lays thick across the land
As though painted by an invisible hand
And the sun, it fails to break in through
The cool air surrounding where its been due
For hours on end but well wait and see
If the sunbeams can possibly ever be
Shown again this foggy day
But if not then well have to play in grey
When the suns exhausted the moon arrives
But I still cant see its crescent eyes
Hidden far beyond this foggy night
We rely on street lamps to fund our fight
And they sprinkle us with lighted showers
So the dark of night recedes and cowers
And Im glad for this day all the same
Because my fears of the dark, the world did tame
Since walking into my shadow, I cannot see the ground beneath my feet
