Leaving
So much to do before I go
So many things I still don't know
So much sun to still soak in
So I just don't know how to begin
There's a lot left that should be said
And even more to say to me
The myriads stars across our clear skies
And the phased moon which I still must see
Her bright and shadowed pearly white eyes
Cast longing and seeking mournful goodbyes
As the morning dusk has finally come
And she knows our time is fatefully done
So I pack away my telescope
So that I can view her from afar
Hopeing that the site is clear
Wishing no cloud this view to mar
And will you miss
That simple kiss
Of frienship on your soul
I know I'm only
Just a little lonely
Filling up with empty dole
Watch with me then the Clock's count down
'Till we must part our ways
And I'll wrap a moonbeam right round you
And tie it tight so that it stays
Then when I'm gone and miss you dear
You'll feel a little tug
Then follow that moonbeam right to me
So I can feel your soft warm hug
