Life & Love

Pay no mind to a fool like me
Just let me float in this cool flow
And don’t warn me of rapids impending
Submerged in the river, just let me go

I’d like to see if I can find the end
Wherever the end may be
Even if the water can be icy at times
At least in silence I am utterly free

Free to ponder
Free to wander
Wonder what’s beyond the world

Because if its hope
Then I can cope
Continue to think the moon’s been pearled

And I want to see that moon reflecting
On the glossy surface we call life
And I want it’s light to fill the night
With magic so I am completely rife

With wandering wonder and full amazement
That the river, though cool, just isn’t wrong
And I guess I hope that I will see
Someone’s reflection there all along

When I submerge myself under the glassy surface
And see the ripples up above
I’ll see the reflection of all the stars
And the entire universe filled with love

So despite my cries and pleas for silence
And every grumble and groan
I’m happy that traveling in this liquid life
Can’t possibly be done alone
