Nº 27
An ash falls down
Still burning bright
As my thick exhale
Floats into the night
This searin red ember
From my finger's flick
Is burning away
Like the flames that lick
The life from me
Breath by breath
A life that's meant
For certain death
A certain end
To life's short climb
Plumetting, falling
At any time
I see the ash
Snap to black
Gone in an instant
And not coming back
Three more fall
Down by my feet
Fate again
Will thrice repeat
But as for now
They're the freckles of Earth
The same sanguine spots
I've had since birth
And just like me
The world will die
As I exhale my smoke
Into the sky
So I light up again
Ciggerette in my lips
Feet on the ground, head in the sky
Loving the living as time quickly unzips
