Shooting Star
I wish up the brightest star
Not any star will do
I need this wish to absolutely be
I need this wish to indeed come true
All I'm wishing for is you
I was looking in the sky one summers eve
Because the world was dark and fast asleep
A few stars trickled out from the sky
As though the heavens began to weep
They must have been great tears of joy
Because upon a sight my eyes did fall
Out of the heaveans cried the most beautiful star
The brightest and radiant most luminous ball
As it landed in the tissuey clouds
They lit up halogen in the sky
And a passionate fire overtook the stars heart
And across the heavens it began to fly
I watched it arc across the clouds
It soard right past to the end of my sight
I knew I must catch this special star
Without hesitation I took up flight
Something great was driving that star
Driving its heart from up above
What was so wonderful that sped forth this light
Was it something as powerful and strong as love
Its speed was great, pulling away
Away from me that beautiful star
But it didn't escape as I pushed on harder
No it didn't at all get very far
And quite peculiar; the star stopped flying
It then had me stop too
I noticed the feeling of the soul of the star
And I thought to myself "Can it really be you"
From the star trickled down
A small white light, a tear
This star was crying with hearfult joy
And it started then, to me, to near
I stood there frozen above the ocean
As the light grew bright and near
And in front of me it stopped its motion
And let fall free another tear
That tear did plumet
Strait to the water below
That tear I think was unimportant
But truely, I do not know
I swear I saw that bright star winking
As it fell into the sea
I madly rushed down to stop its sinking
And instead you emerged and gently kissed me
I know that night I'd found the best
The most powerful star I'd need to view
The star to make the most precious wish
Because the wish and star are both lovingly you
