The Great Beyond

There’s a place where I’m free
Where I can let my mind wander
Letting the breezy air
Push me to truly random places
All that’s there is the wind,
Neither warm nor cool,
Neither wet nor dry
Nothing
Just like this place with no name
That I like to call
The great beyond
Here, there is nothing
But the wind
Tickling the back of your mind
You’re already here
In the great beyond with me
And even though we’re here together
There is nothing
But the wind
The breeze
The gust
The vacuum
The magnitude depends on who’s here
There is no need to fear the vacuum
As long as you’re with me
With me there’s always at least a breeze
But in the vacuum
There is no air
And the mind isn’t functioning
Since you were willing to come here
On your own, with me
I wouldn’t worry
It’s those that don’t mean to come
That need to be saved
From themselves
And the nothingness they will find
But here it is beautiful
Because if you feel that breeze
Then what you have found
Is everything
And if you’re ever looking for me
It’s there
In the blank windy paradise
You’ll fine me
And you’ll see me flying
With that mile high wind
And the breeze you feel
Will catch you off guard
Because you’ll swear
That just for a moment
It felt cool

Someday
You’ll fly with me
