The Moon Revisited

Its a happy electric time of year
Sparks are flying in showers
The nights are clear and slightly crisp
The stars so bright, full, scattered like flowers

Across the heavens the entire spring
I've floated all about
New adventures ever unseen before
Yet I always stray back without a doubt

Back to my moon, soft and warm
The only real life in my midnight sky
Kicking the gravity from my legs
Lifting me up with its natural high

In the elctricity of this time
Things are different with a rose colored hand
As the seconds melt by the world slows down
The moment has come, they strike up the band

You're dressed so regally as you deserve
I'm your prince again for the night
I'd bow dow to your waking whim
And though I've planned hard I hope its done right

Because of this bright time of the year
I'm plauged by hyper butterflys
Who took some speed in their cacoons
And break out to give my heart rise

As spastic as that may be
