Vampire

I feel like a vampire
I see something beautiful
Something warm
Something that will fill me with life
To keep me going
And I latch on
Sinking my teeth in
And sucking them dry

Their eyes flutter
And back arches
As they gasp
And then give over
To my hold
My embrace
My power

After I've made them mine
They sleep
Soft
Warm
Beautiful

Then they wake
And try to run
To leave me in the shadows
Where I belong
But I've got my fangs deep within them
My hands grasping them
As they try to pull away
And I let them go
Because I realize
I've tainted something beautiful

But soon I need them
So I hunt
Until I find them
Again
And then I feast
Again

And again

Stay away from me
Don't let me catch you

I'll just suck you dry
