Waiting

The stars this eve
Are spinning a weave
Of thoughts and feelings I can't conceive

From up above
They're tieing love
In you and me I do believe

I can't help but think
If the stars did sink
And mingle that love up to the brink

And if they're allowed
To join our crowd
They'd be here faster than I can blink

For all the universe is my emotions
It is endless and beautiful and ever growing
And all the stars and heavenly works
Are my love for you forever flowing

Though a star might die into the night
New ones are always being born
And though the sky is riddled with holes
The universe can't ever be completely torn

So I'll look beyond this world of ours
To see all the twinkles in the sky
And I'll know they're you looking back at me
And I'll see that moon beam in your eye

And the sun will rise again tomorrow
As it always will
I'll see the moon with the morning backdrop
And wait for the sky, with stars, to fill
